Imogen Baker is a former chorister at St. Michael and All Angels Church. She has recently completed her undergraduate studies at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, studying with Amanda Roocroft, and is excited to be commencing her Master's studies at the Royal Academy of Music in September 2022, under the tutelage of Susan Waters. During her undergraduate degree, she was the John Ireland Prizewinner (2020) and an Edward Brooks Lieder Prizewinner (2019). She also notably performed the roles of Thérèse/ Tirésias in Poulenc's Les Mamelles de Tirésias (RBC Opera Scenes | June 2021), Miss Spink/ Other Miss Spink in Turnage's Coraline (RBC Spring Opera | March 2021) and Maria Bertram in Dove's Mansfield Park (RBC Summer Opera | June 2019).
Having recently completed his Masters at the Wales International Academy of Voice, Andrew is now at the beginning of his professional singing career. In summer 2021, Andrew joined Opera Loki singing Don José in their production of Carmen and will be returning to this role with Opera Brava, in Summer 2022. Other roles include Candide (Bernstein), Sempronio (Haydn’s Lo Speziale), Armed Guard (Mozart’s Magic Flute), and Henry Crawford (Jonathan Dove’s Mansfield Park). Andrew has also sung as a tenor soloist in numerous oratorios including Mozart’s Coronation Mass (St Albans Cathedral), Verdi's Requiem (Arundel Cathedral) and Mendelssohn’s Elijah (Solihull). Whilst has also featured as a Concert soloist at venues such as St David’s Hall (Cardiff) and De Montford Hall (Leicester).
They will be accompanied by David Hall (MA (Cantab) FRCO) on the organ. David is now the Director of Music at Twyford School in Hampshire, a role he combines with freelance work accompanying, conducting and composing as well as his work as the Musical Director of Finchcocks Piano Courses. He studied the piano with Laura Cole and the organ with Anne Marsden Thomas at the Royal Academy of Music. In 1996 he was appointed organ scholar at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge. He then spent two years on the music staff of Chelmsford Cathedral.
The concert will last approximately 1 hour & 45 minutes with a 20-minute interval where complimentary Wine and soft drinks will be served. There is parking available on site and toilets. The venue is wheelchair accessible and has an induction loop however there are no accessible toilets. The concert will begin at 7:00 pm and the doors will open at 6:30 pm.
Tickets are £15 for adults and £11 for Under 16s. There is a small booking fee if booking online through Ticketsource. If tickets are bought on the door they can be paid for with cash only.
